saving notes during your own move

It would be nice if you could save a note during your own move without moving.

I just noticed the other thread. Apparently there is a work around, still it would be nice if it was part of the site design.

I just jot in what ever, and hit submit without making a move..It works.
My idea doesn't always though.😠
