Site so slow virtually unusable and time outs

With the site being virtually unusable at the moment may I suggest time outs are suspended.

At time of posting; 10.30am Australia time - yes; seems to be ok at the moment but it is coming and going; I don't know what Russ can do if it is bots and so outside interference.

I don't know where the server(s) are located, but it wasn't me (e.g., launching a DNS attack because of some self-delighting crazy sharks here). I don't know how, and I would not do that anyway. Some other people here seem to exhibit much less self-restraint.

Hmm, but maybe a five-second delay for the forums (not the games) might be a good idea. 😉

Over here it seems the TLS handshake might be the bottlegap (or whatever the term might be).

At the moment site access seems back to normal, as least from my location.

I've been trying to use it from the UK over the last 48 hours and it's pretty poor. I've been trying to set up clan games but am giving up for the night.

Anyone know exactly what the problem is??????

Intermittent - but thanks for asking. My big problem is that the clan page doesn't appear to be working - Russ can see a waiting application to join needing acceptance, where I know who it is but can't see the pending entry from my end.

I think that I might have to drown my sorrow in Guinness a bit later 😉
