Subscriptions as a gift for 3rd parties

Is it possible to buy a subscription as a gift for someone else i.e you are XYZ on the credit card but you specify an unrelated player on this site such as Dr Strangelove for example on the site? (Dr Strangelove, don't get any false hopes I was only using you as an example.)

You just have to put their name in when you fill in the subscription form - so I've heard. People do it more often than you would think.

Yes, it is possible. I paid for my son's membership, and I also paid for a friend and he gave me the cash.

On the subscription page, it asks you which username you are subscribing for.
