Is it possible the winner of this prestigious tournament can be given a permanent ban from the site?

I mean c'mon, a quick look at Ulf t's rating graph should point out the obvious!

This is a guy who was one time getting checkmated in <20 moves by roma45 for crusts sake!! (no offense bud)

Kewpie suggested that all games of the final round should be analysed for potential computer use.

A good idea I think.

To clarify that a bit:
Analyse all the final round games involving the winner.
If the winner is disqualified as a result, then analyse all the final round games involving the next-in-line.
Repeat until you run out of disqualified machine-users and get a real winner.

That way there aren't so many games to analyse, so it's more likely to happen.

Matchup rates should be publicly posted, so there can be no doubt in anyone's mind of the fairness of the process.

I'd do it myself if I had both the engine and the knowledge of how to use it.

It looks like the 'powers that be' are in a kind of zugzwang. If they award ulfs engine the 2014 championship there will be lots of unhappy members.
If they decide to ban him now there will still be a lot of unhappy members because they allowed him to get away with it for so long.
