Thread watching option

It would be useful to be able to watch a thread. In this way, I can be alerted when a new post has been made to a thread that I am interested in. Quite often threads "disappear" from my internal radar, never to be seen again.

Even if bandwidth is an issue in terms of sending emails, a list on the home page would be OK
