Is there any good reason I shouldn't be able to play an unrated game against myself? I like the interface and would enjoy being able to play a game against myself here to try certain positions.
You can do it there, but not save them.
Go here to get a PGN view, so you can save the games.

If you want to share the game, you can paste the pgn into a thread and ask for feedback.
I don't see any reason to have it saved as a game here at RHP...

Challenge 6 different guys.
Tell them you want to play against yourself and you will PM them
the move you want to be played against yourself.
That way you will have a perfect savable record of all your solitaire games.
They won't think you are wierd, it happens everyday.
