There are two types of theist in this forum; rocks and pebbles.
Rocks are buried in the soil, shielded from the possible erosion of new ideas, new insights and closed to being reshaped by their God. They are grubby to hold, covered in decaying matter and detritus, hard and sometimes jagged in the hand.
Pebbles are on the beach, they are rocks which have be jostled daily by the waves which bash them into each other. They have been reshaped by exposure to collisions, by daily insights. They are rounded, pleasing to hold, smooth, veined with colour and shine when oiled.
Thoughts.
@divegeester saidRocks buried in the soil are older, they too have been jostled daily by the waves which bash them into each other. They have been reshaped by exposure to collisions, by daily insights centuries ago. The decaying matter and detritus which is their cover does not penetrate them. They have the wisdom of the ages. and know there is nothing new under the sun. 🙂

@divegeester saidFortunately, this is the spirituality section, so I don't have to be geologically correct. 🙂
Geologically speaking this is incorrect.
@divegeester saidWhy not be creative and think of your own analogy to make whatever counter point you want to convey
For the analogy to make sense you do.
Why not be creative and think of your own analogy to make whatever counter point you want to convey 🙂
Because this entire thread has little or no relevance to real world events. Lawyers love to debate abstract hypotheticals like this, but it's just not my nature to pursue them too deeply.
@divegeester saidI was highlighting what you posted here, so I could address your question.
I did, it’s in the OP!
