How many times do you need to be born in order to be a True X X Xian?

No. to me, its like a person who commits a crime, and is put on probation to prove ones self. violate the probation and you do jail time. born again twice is like saying "i can do this, i can do that. its ok. all i have to do is be born again a 2nd, a 3rd, a 4th time. maybe criminals think this way. its why they continue to commit crimes, knowing they will be forgiven. don't think so! one day they will have to answer for their actions and hell ain't half full........a second chance is just that and no more.
Once a person is saved are they always saved? When people come to know Christ as their Savior, they are brought into a relationship with God that guarantees their salvation as eternally secure. Numerous passages of Scripture declare this fact. (a) Romans 8:30 declares, "And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified." This verse tells us that from the moment God chooses us, it is as if we are glorified in His presence in heaven. There is nothing that can prevent a believer from one day being glorified because God has already purposed it in heaven. Once a person is justified, his salvation is guaranteed - he is as secure as if he is already glorified in heaven.
(b) Paul asks two crucial questions in Romans 8:33-34 "Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died more than that, who was raised to life - is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." Who will bring a charge against God's elect? No one will, because Christ is our advocate. Who will condemn us? No one will, because Christ, the One who died for us, is the one who condemns. We have both the advocate and judge as our Savior.
(c) Believers are born again (regenerated) when they believe (John 3:3; Titus 3:5). For a Christian to lose his salvation, he would have to be un-regenerated. The Bible gives no evidence that the new birth can be taken away. (d) The Holy Spirit indwells all believers (John 14:17; Romans 8:9) and baptizes all believers into the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). For a believer to become unsaved, he would have to be "un-indwelt" and detached from the Body of Christ.
(e) John 3:15 states that whoever believes in Jesus Christ will "have eternal life." If you believe in Christ today and have eternal life, but lose it tomorrow, then it was never "eternal" at all. Hence if you lose your salvation, the promises of eternal life in the Bible would be in error. (f) For the most conclusive argument, I think Scripture says it best itself, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39). Remember the same God who saved you is the same God who will keep you. Once we are saved we are always saved. Our salvation is most definitely eternally secure!

God will help you. He loves you.
You need to look for a local church where God's word is preached. The Bible says that we are to desire God's word like a newborn baby desires mother's milk. Aren't you hungry to know the truth?
Water baptism is one of the ways you first show that you have been joined to Jesus. This is an action, and actions will not save you. However, it is an act of obedience and a symbol of commitment. The symbolism is this: When you go down in the water you show that You have been crucified and buried with Him,
And when you come up out of the water you show that you have been raised to walk with Him in newness of life. (See Romans chapter 6)
You have been born again. (See John chapter 3)
Your body has become God's temple. Your heart is where He lives.
Forgiveness is yours in Jesus. And you belong to Him.
You were sin's slave. But now...
You are a child of GOD!

When interpreting the Bible verses below, it is important to recognize that they're referring to "salvation", not heavenly "rewards". Salvation is concerned with how we get into Heaven. Rewards deal with the degree or extent of the rewards we get once we're there. Failing to make this distinction when interpreting verses like these can cause all kinds of confusion and wrong applications of the verses in question. After we've been spiritually regenerated (reborn), we can lose some of our eternal rewards by our sins, but not our salvation.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves [it is] the gift of God Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
Many who are involved in non-Christian religions are very moral. Some even make great personal sacrifices for others. In the previous sections, we saw that God say's He is essentially disgusted by the prayers, sacrifices and "good works" of those who do not first place their faith in Jesus Christ for their salvation. For those who refuse to have faith in Jesus, God tells us that He will laugh at and even mock them. He also will not hear their prayers. As you will see in the verses below, He also expects Christians to avoid giving any praise to them. He also tells us to avoid participating in any way with their efforts to spread their false doctrines. However, He still expects to do our part to help them see the truth when we feel guided by the Holy Spirit to do so.
