A Science teacher who "teachs" evoltion alonside Creationism.

one of the students says evolution doesnt make sense because [i]
"how can an African-American evolve from a white person?"

    This is fundamentally shocking!

Maybe we need to ask our Bible-creation-believers if Adam and Eve were white?

Just watched that clip. That man is not a science teacher, and I wonder if he knows he is setting those kids up as victims? The only way they can survive is to remain in that small tight knit community.

The title of this thread says it all. Their own comments show that what they've been taught, and absorbed from their teachers and parents, is total nonsense. They clearly have no understanding of the evolutionary process, nor the history of their own race, nor why Asians evolved in a different way to Caucasians from their African roots.

I particularly liked the second of the posted comments, because it's just so true:

"Debating creationists on the topic of evolution is rather like trying to play chess with a pigeon; it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory." -- Scott D. Weitzenhoffer

I don't know why this is so shocking. It surely was not the first time in US history a school kid said something silly in a classroom.

the 'kid' was a teenager. my 8yr old knows the basics of evolution there is no excuse for such stupidity at 14-16 and the 'kid' didnt seem to be the only teenager in the room not understanding the basics of evolution.

The problem is that in the civilized world if an 11 year-old said
that in class the rest of the kids would be in fits of laughter.
