@fmf saidAmerica is deeply divided into two religious factions which can be very generally categorised as:
What would be a Christian perspective on the objectives and behaviour of those who invaded the Capitol in Washington DC on 6th January especially the ones who claim to be Christians?
- those who claim Trump was elected by God and Biden is an antichrist
- those who believe Trump is an antichrist and Biden is elected by God as the solution.
Because American politics is irreversibly conjoined with Christianity at the “genetic level” of thinking and idealism, there has grown a sense by both sides that violence and insurrection is an acceptable, and even necessary, behaviour to ensure the survival of their ideology and therefore their way of life.
American versions of the Sunnis and Shias, each wrapped in the same star spangled banner, each believing the other to not only be wrong, but fundamentally driven by Satan.
It’s not going to hold together is it.
What would be a Christian perspective on the objectives and behaviour of those who invaded the Capitol in Washington DC on 6th January especially the ones who claim to be Christians?
To make a law that in the US atheists are not allowed to be mad with the government.
No atheists are allowed to wave a flag or any kind.
And no atheists can stand on the steps of the Capital building.

@secondson saidCalling people stupid because you disagree with is one of the symptoms of the intellectual malaise which is ruining America.
The posts above are prime examples of stupid, and everyone knows you can't fix stupid.

You're a complete idiot if you believe the crud you posted about the Christian church in America.

It’s a good job that you’ve claimed that I’m a good poster and you agree with at least half of what I’ve said...

@sonship saidNo one is suggesting that Americans, regardless of their beliefs, are not allowed to be mad at the government or wave flags or visit public buildings. But surely these facetious comments about "U.S. atheists" are not your Christian perspective on what happened on 6th January, are they?
