Based on the sixth Commandment.

Also Numbers 10:9

Gives instruction on going to war.

Deut. 20:10-15

These verses talk about offering piece to the people and they can become their slaves. Then if the people at attack then you are to defend yourselves and take the land. Notice they were only to kill the adult males and leave women children and livestock/domestic animals. They were only to engage in war/battle in self-defense as numbers chapter 10 verse 9 explains as well as Deuteronomy 20.

This reminds of those people that call themselves Palestinian, I believe it is. They are those people that are living in the Land God gave the Jews. When the Jews were called back to the land of Israel after WWII, these Palestinian people refused to leave or live under Jewish control and began attacking the Jews, who obviously defended themselves.

The Jews have been trying to live in peace, but most of the people in neighboring countries belong to the religion of Islam and do not like the religion of the Jews and so they also attack the Jews from time to time. So the Jews in Israel are surrounded by enemies that would be glad to see them all dead. However, they still try to live in peace.

Some Christians have felt sorrow for them and try to help the poor among them. The leaders of the Jews in Israel have looked for help in defending themselves among other nations in the world, but they usually only get a look at the raised middle fingers of the leaders of the other nations.

So it looks like sometime in the not too distant future that all hell is going to break out and only God will come to their defense.

Since the god of Abraham is also the god of Jesus and the god of Mohammed, whose side can the god take?

1. According to the Bible, the Ishmaelites were not worshiping Yahweh God.
2. Their alliance with nations that worshiped Baal suggests that they were also worshiping the false god Baal.
3. Both Muslim and non-Muslim sources state that Hubal was recognized as the chief presiding deity of the Kabah.
4. Muhammad’s grandfather worshiped Hubal, and even prayed to Allah while facing Hubal’s idol.
5. The Muslim sources claim that Hubal was brought to Mecca from Syria due to the influence of the Moabites and/or the Amalekites.
6. These nations worshiped Baal which demonstrates that Hubal is actually the Arabic form of Hebrew Ha Baal or the Baal.

The foregoing seriously damages the Muslim claim regarding Allah in pre-Islamic times being the same God of Abraham. The assertion that the pre-Islamic Ishmaelites worshiped the same God cannot be maintained in light of the Psalm’s clear statement that they, along with a host of other pagan nations, hated and opposed Yahweh and his covenant people Israel. The evidence linking Allah with Hubal implies this as well. Hence, if the Muslim contention that the Meccan Arabs are Ishmaelites is correct, then the god of Mecca, the Allah of pre-Islamic Arabia, is actually the false god Baal.

What makes this more interesting is that one modern Muslim scholar acknowledges that Hubal was the name for the moon god.

Elijah came near to all the people and said, "How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people did not answer him a word.

Jesus is God in the flesh! God is on the side of those whose names are written in the lambs book of life before the foundation of the world!

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right - Acts 10:34

Can you tell us RBhill why you are citing the sixth commandment which is part of the mosaic law and why you are not also following other commandments? Like going to Jerusalem once a year to celebrate the passover?

I have freedom in Christ I don't follow any of the laws only love the Lord your God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself it's impossible to keep all the laws. If you break one you break them all!

Notice now only killing in the war self defense is okay and I'm just saying that there's a difference in war killing and personal killing. David killed Goliath(self defense) in war killing but when he killed Uriah that wasn't war killing and that's when God spoke to him through the prophet to repent and that's what he did!
