Yesterday, in these forums, I mocked the Lord. Today I have been stricken with a massive hangover. Coincidence? I think not. Any thought of temperance was cast aside when the Lord hardened my heart and caused me to drink that extra bottle of wine. I can only pray that he will not harden my arteries in a similar fashion. I feel for you friend. Actually I cannot really sympathise with you because I have never experienced a hangover myself.

So what conclusion have you drawn from your experience? Is it that one should not mock God or otherwise?

Its like the guy who was testing ants, yelling at them to jump, when they didn't, tear off a leg. Kept that up, till the ant had no legs left, came to the conclusion the ant was deaf.

Yesterday I praised the Lord quite a bit. I told God that I loved Him. I expressed my enjoyment of Him by reading His word and fellowshipping with other Christians.
I also drank too much Coca Cola and have a caffiene headache today.
I don't take that as a sign of retribution or of much of anything. Except it shows me that if you take caffiene too much and then stop taking it you might get a headache - and that regardless of how spiritual or unspiritual you are.

It's not a controlled experiment then is it? You can't reach that conclusion until you've also downed a bottle of that vile phosphoric acid and caramel WITHOUT praising the Lord. See if you get a headache then. 🙂
