I think if anyone is prepared to accept the existence of *holy spirits*, gods, ghosts, Adam & Eve, creating the world in 7 days, and whatever else then why is it laughable that some should suggest the existence of unicorns, leprechauns, loch ness monsters etc...?
They all have the same level of ridiculousity since they are all unfounded constructs of some one or ones imagination...sure millions of people believe in God now but when the concept was first devised I'm sure there was only a handful of people selling this idea to increasingly larger congregations of knowledge-less and gullible listeners who then spawned generations of people that would also have this ludicrousy rammed down their throats such that half the world (so to speak) now has no problem whatsoever believing in heaven (complete with pearly gates and harp playing angels etc...) and any of the above (along with a multitude of other things I care not to have to suffer knowledge of)
