Come sir, we have rarely shared an amazing discourse.

But no, I'd have no interest in conversing with someone in the ilk of Romans who questioned my honesty. Those kind of conversations never go anywhere.

In recent weeks you seem to have ramped up your tedious and pedantic posting while simultaneously wearing one of the thinnest skins on the site.

OK.
Let's assume some arbitrary date when we were created.
Therefore, according to you, there was a first "homo sapiens"

What was that beings mother and father?
I'm convinced most crap arguments fail at the beginning when they take a false 'given' as true.

Service to others is a pillar of Christianity. Jesus taught that helping those in need was one of the most important aspects of life for just about anyone. Jesus went as far as to suggest that people should help others as much as possible. For example, Jesus praised those who would give so much to the poor that they themselves became poor. With such strong emphasis on ...[text shortened]... live up to Christ’s expectations.

I could not possibly agree more.

I love this site. This is the "righteous stick" missing from too many Christians' lives.

Many speak, but few of them DO. In other words, many love to "talk the talk", easy to do because they hear it on Sunday often enough. But they forget to "walk the walk" because it isn't "convenient".

I think this is also powerfully presented in the parable of the Good Samaritan, exemplifying the ethics of Jesus.

Of course.

So we are in agreement that the Good Samaritan exemplified Christ's example of altruism?

I think it's important to put the Good Samaritan in context and look at why Jesus provided that particular parable when he did. Basically it was to clearly explain who we should consider as a 'neighbour'' and who exactly we should be loving as we love ourselves and God.

Even the 'stranger' is our neighbour. We are meant to help them without a second thought and do so without any egoistic motivation (not let our left hand see what our right hand is doing). This is the overriding message of Christianity with no greater commandment from God.
