Here are some things churches would never tell you:

The Light of Christ is in all men
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (John 1:9-10 KJV)

All who live righteously will get eternal life
Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: .... glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God. (Romans 2:6-11 KJV)

All who practice sin and evil will be destroyed
Who will render to every man according to his deeds: ... unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; ... For there is no respect of persons with God. (Romans 2:6-11 KJV)

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, [not just Christians], and if someone keeps the commandments then they know Christ and Christ knows them
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. (1 John 2:2-3 KJV)

So what is the advantage of being a Christian?
A Christian is one who professes faith in Christ, and by this profession of faith can receive the Holy Spirit, which is s guide to the Christian life. This therefore is a harder life to live because it demands a greater level of commitment and sacrifice than the nonChristian. But the reward is different. Christians who are righteous are destined to rule with Christ in the millennial reign as kings and priests with Christ on the earth when he returns.

The Christian advantage does not and can not negate or disqualify what the bible says about the non Christians who lives righteously. Both have their place in the Kingdom of God. Dont be fooled by the churches. God has no special regard for any group - not Jews, not Christians, nobody. God wants righteousness.

Note : the above passages are not isolated, and there are many like it

The Light of Christ is in all men
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (John 1:9-10 KJV)

In the verse quoted it goes on to say that some of even His own people (Jews) did not know who He was. If He was the light in all why did they not receive Him?

"This is the true light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. (v.9)
He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, yet the world did not know Him. (v.10)
He came to His own, yet those who were His own did not receive Him." (v.11)

Christ as the light indeed comes into the world. But not all receive this enlightenment. Much of the world did not receive the light that He is the Creator become flesh. And His own nation did not receive enlightenment concerning the Son of God.

It is one thing to say Christ as the true light comes into the world for enlightening every man and saying that every man has received this or has been enlightened.

That is what one understand if verse 9 is followed by verses 10 - 11.

Verse 12 speaks of those who receive the light.

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name." (v.12 RcV)

Explain why Paul enumerates the number of people working good - NONE.

"Even as it is written, There is none righteous, not even one." (3:10)

What is the count of those righteous according to the same book? "not even one".

"Not even one" is prepared to be justified by his own goodness before God.

Same book. Same writer Rajk999.

How many is the count of those seeking good to the apostle in chapter 3?

The count of such is "not even one."

"All have turned aside; together they have become useless, there is none who does good; there is not even one." (Rom. 3:12)

What a stupid batch of utterly uninformed posts. This must be the 10th time you quote this to prove some irrelevant point but you are clueless to its meaning. For the last time this passage refers to a specific situation. Here it is again. This time copy and paste and print this and stick it on your fridge :

In Romans 3, Paul is telling the JEWS that they are not better than the GENTILES. Paul is using the writings of Jeremiah to show that God scattered them and chased them from the land of Israel because of their evil ways. Not one of them were righteous. This has no relevance to what I posted.

The light of Christ is in all men. That is a simple crystal clear statement. Having that light is no guarantee of eternal Life. This comes when one receives the teachings of Christ, and obeys. This is the same story of the Sower and the Seed. There are many who hear, but there is only one group that both hear the word / teachings and obey.

And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. (John 12:47-50 KJV)

To reject Christ is to refuse to receive His teachings
Christ commandments came from God
These commandments is life everlasting
Anyone who obeys the commandments have received Christ

In your case you have not received Christ' commandments and therefore you have rejected Christ.

I do not usually paste. With Bible verses 90% of the time copy by hand and think about what I am writing by hand.

The ground is being lain by Paul that the whole world is under condemnation (3:9-20). He lays down this ground so that he may teach about Justification through faith in Christ from 3:21 through 5:11.

Before he speaks of the whole world being under condemnation 3:9-20 he spoke to certain subsections of the world being under condemnation:

On mankind in general 1:18 - 32
On the self-righteous of mankind 2:1-16.
On the religious of mankind 2:17 - 3:8 .

Then again he teaches of the whole world totally being under condemnation (3:9- 20).

Starting from 3:21 all the way through to 5:11 Paul teaches a number of aspects to the solution to man's condemnation, namely God's Justification. And just one verse before his long section on Justification he summed up that "NO FLESH" will be justified out of the works of the law.

"Because out of the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before Him; for through the law is the clear knowledge of sin." (3:20)

Among the things said in chapter 3 is that God has had it that every mouth is shut and the whole world has fallen under the condemnation of God.

Before I copy it by hand let me repeat. In Romans 3 Paul explains why the whole world has every mouth shut and the world in its entirety is under God's condemnation.

Romans 3:19

"Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may fall under the judgment of God."

A.) Only Jewish mouths are shut? Or
B.) Every mouth Jew and Gentile is shut?

Answer: B. - "that every mouth may be stopped"

A.) Only the Jews fall under the judgment of God? Or
B.) The entire world falls under the judgment of God?

Answer: B. - "all the world may fall under the judgment of God"

I state the teachings of Christ, and and I know that eternal life is through Jesus Christ, who will judge on the basis of how His commandments were kept. I know that all who keep the commandments of Christ are in a good and safe place, as sheep of Christ and the elect of God.

Apparently you dont care for the teachings of Christ because they are very hard to twist and they involve doing good works. You like what Paul preached so I would advise you to read and digest the whole of one of the letters of Paul, instead of pick out little pieces out of all of them.

In the end all these doctrines boil down to the same thing. It is only the righteous who will enter the Kingdom of God, as Paul clearly stated and you continue to ignore. So whereas your focus is on justification, sanctification, saving, which are all parts of the process for eternal life. But you have missed the mark because omit the righteous life and good works which must follow. Your doctrine that you automatically live righteously or that Christ is righteous therefore that make you righteous is the doctrine of a fool.

There are many who are justified, who are called, who are sanctified, who are saved, who are born again, that will be cast out of the Kingdom of God, because they disobeyed the commandments

So the bottom line is - God calls, God justifies, God sanctifies, God saves, but it is only if YOU DO YOUR PART and KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS, THEN you will get eternal life. This little fact was stated all over the Bible.

Your failure is ignoring Paul when he preached righteousness and good works is required for eternal life.

Paul is quoting the Old Testament, yes. That is all the Scripture they had at that time.

But the reason he does so is to show the whole world is under condemnation and every mouth of the world is shut. Therefore all the world is in need of justification of God according to God's standard of righteousness.

"Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped AND ALL THE WORLD may fall under the judgment of God." (my bolding on Rom. 3:19)

Incidentally, his quote from Isaiah is being used to support that BOTH Jews and Gentiles are all under sin. Therefore both Jews and Gentiles are under God's condemnation.

"What then? Are we [Jews] better? Not at all! For we have previously charged both Jews and Gentiles that they are all under sin." (Rom. 3:9)

This kind of posting is what Paul called focussing on first principles, and your constant regurgitation of this over and over means that you are not of age and not qualified to tell people about the Kingdom of God. Paul said that these people are unskilful in the word of righteousness: for you are a child and unable to use your senses to discern good and evil.

Your posting is stuck on the elementary matters which Paul explained. The deeper matters which determine whether or not you get eternal life is never dealt with.

Here are a couple truths :

- The only time you deal with righteousness and good works is when I bring it up and I quote Paul about who inherits the Kingdom of God

- Your response to my posting about that is to try to twist it to mean something else.

- When I quote what Jesus said about judgment day, again your response is to twist it and change its meaning

You NEVER speak of what righteousness about good works are about.

It is true that in Romans 2 Paul says this:

"To those who are by endurance in good works seek glory and honor and incorruptibility, eternal life . . . " (Rom. 2:7)

The question is - Who are those? I think it is eventually revealed that such are the those who arrive at living by the Spirit of life in Christ in chapter 8. By then they have been justified by faith and are in the process of sanctification walking not by the flesh but by the Spirit in their spirit.

"That the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit." (Rom. 8:4)

It is from this class of human beings there is the seeking through endurance good works through Christ living in them. God's glory is sought. God's honor is sought.

The practical enjoyment of eternal life is sought by those who have received the gift of eternal life.

I think the twisting is being done by Rajk999. He is using Romans 2:7 to build his accusation that those who would be justified by faith exalt disobedience to Christ.

Studying Romans carefully it is evident that Paul is not teaching Romans 2:7 is VERSES justification by faith and the gift of eternal life.
