There is a difference between having certainty in your mind about something as opposed to 'knowing' something as a fact and being able to prove it. For example, you may be certain in your mind that Jesus is the way the truth and the life, but do you 'know' it as a fact and can you prove it?

Your position is the very definition of a 'closed' mind; you refuse to accept the possibility that you may be wrong. The 'atheist belief' as you term it, is simply that the origin of life is unknown. That is the position of the 'open' mind; awaiting sufficient evidence to make a decision. I am an atheist, and I accept that there may or may not have been a creator. Do you see?
In your 'open minded' state, are you open to the possibility that there may well be sufficient evidence for a creator that may already have been presented to you that you have refused to acknowledge because it is not compatible with your atheistic beliefs?

I am on the side of creation, without knowing for certain who that Creator is.
On the side of creation?

Does that mean that you believe that all that exists was created out of nothing?

I'm not interested in exchanging views with you.

If you are certain that a particular proposition is true, you are fully confident that it is true; yet theoretically you could be right, or wrong. If you can prove that you are right, then you know that it is true; your certainty becomes knowledge. If you are proven wrong, then you mistake that it is true; your certainty is a mistake.

How do you rationalise to yourself why it is that so many posters have given up responding to you?

By certainty I am referring to a mental state that is without doubt. There is no doubt in my mind that God exists. But I cannot prove it, so it is not something that I can claim to know.
