" I asked God if it was okay to be melodramatic
and she said yes
I asked her if it was okay to be short
and she said it sure is
I asked her if I could wear nail polish
or not wear nail polish
and she said honey
she calls me that sometimes
she said you can do just exactly
what you want to
Thanks God I said
And is it even okay if I don't paragraph
my letters
Sweetcakes God said
who knows where she picked that up
what I'm telling you is
Yes Yes Yes"

Actually, after GFs response I went and reread the poem. By the time that I responded to hakima's response a couple of hours had passed and I'd forgotten the details of it.
So, I'm thinking both my first and second guesses were correct.
Hopefully she understood what I meant and was just having a little fun with me.

My husband calls me the Queen of Obscurity. It's going to get me into trouble when I start teaching middle schoolers...either trouble or I'm going to speak their language perfectly! 😀
The essence of my spirit and my spirituality is fun...I only hope that it doesn't impinge on others' personal journeys...
