    It depends on what you are wearing and how close you get to the candles.

    But if you are asking "does God punish hypocrisy with flames" the answer is clearly "no" or there would be whole Churches bursting into flames worldwide!

    Actually (although not in this country) i find churches quite peaceful places to just go and sit in for a while. Preferably not when there's a service on though. I can totally see why people go to church i just can't get my head around the idea of a 'god'.

    God could be described as being "a peaceful place to just go and sit in for a while" - except that it doesn't necessarily have to be in a church building.
