Actually (although not in this country) i find churches quite peaceful places to just go and sit in for a while. Preferably not when there's a service on though. I can totally see why people go to church i just can't get my head around the idea of a 'god'.

God could be described as being "a peaceful place to just go and sit in for a while" - except that it doesn't necessarily have to be in a church building.
