This is wrong on so many levels I can't even begin to count.

Notice the comments. Not many apologists there.

Who are you to determine what is wrong? Didn't you evolve from a rock?

Who am I to determine what is wrong? Well every human on Earth is equal in that regard since there is no bible god to tell us what to do, we get to figure that out all by ourselves. I can easily see what is wrong.

Sure, there are hundreds of such stories. All that proves is mankind can come up with pithy proverbs and such with no help needed from a god. You seem to want to continuously downgrade human intelligence by insisting pithy biblical sayings were inspired by a god.

Same argument about the pyramids, couldn't have been made by those primitive stupid men from 5000 years ago, therefore aliens exist who came down with nothing better to do than help men build a gigantic ego monument to one man. Sure, it could happen. NOT.

It was our own creativity that wrote all the verses in the Bible, the Quran, the Kabala, the Vedic texts, the words of Buddha and all the rest.

We already have near god like intelligence, the best of us at any rate, it belittles mankind to force people to think all that had to have come about by interacting with a god.

Did you get this near god like intelligence from evolving from the rock?

Yep, and even you. I have absolutely no problem living in a universe with no god. We are on our own, no god coming down to fix the boo boo's, if we off ourselves, we are gone. If we evolve ourselves to higher levels we do that too but no help needed from a god. There comes a point in the growth of civilization where the majority realizes we are the masters of our own fate, not beholding to some outside entity like someone watching over an ant colony from a telescope.

So a religionist thinks god controls the world; hardly a new revelation is it.

I'm more interested in how you managed to navigate a social networking site without contacting the laptop equivalent of Ebola.

    Sorry, I don't do Facebook.

There's not a lot of intelligent life on Facebook anyway.

That's alright, you aren't missing much. My daughter is on facebook and she got her first degree at Berklee in Boston and MA at Wesleyan in composition. I think she qualifies as being smart, along with her physicist husband!

Just remember, 99% of everything is shyte so it doesn't matter what media you peruse, most of it will be junk.
