I know nothing.

Then, if he can't answer a single question you ask, you can reasonably assume that his assertion is true. Thus, he will be able to tell you that his assertion is true. But not because he knows this. But because he lacks knowledge of any kind. 🙄
If you know nothing, how can you know that your assertion is true?

Originally posted by amannionGood point, maybe he just suspects that he knows nothing, but, not knowing, can't be sure if he knows or not.
Why do you think he knows that his assertion is true?
All he said was 'I know nothing', not 'I know that I know nothing' - that would be problematic.

Is it spirituality he knows nothing about? Or this thread?
Could be, but I have no way of knowing ...

I know nothing about what he claims to know nothing about.
Originally posted by twhiteheadNo, if he knew quite a lot he wouldn't say he knows nothing, would he? He would have to say he knows not if he knows nothing. I think your statement is false. You just don't know it.
He may actually know quite a lot but merely not know that his statement is false.
