It was wrong of me to call you petty and vindictive, and it was wrong for me to call you a troll.

@Kevin-Eleven

Its ok. It is all forgiven.
Yes sir. I too will try to be more civil with you and everyone.

@sonship
Thank you, sir. I'll try to do better, and not just on my own.

Not that I'm in a position to speak for the One outside all our scenes, but I imagine the Gardener might be happy we even sprouted at all, even such as we are.

Edit: OK, it seems I am still pretty arrogant (more arrogant than pretty, I'll admit).

Maybe I should grant you permission to rebuke me now and then. 😉

I'm not the kind of guy who would call you "son", but none of us needs to be a Major Briggs to surmise that your chronic alcoholic self-destruction often shuts down most of your brain except for your brainstem and its distressingly limited "witticisms".

How would that matter for a Christian? Why should I care what you think?

The Light of Christ is directionless and all-encompassing.

When it comes to people who do make the choice to allow Christ in, and to relax into Christ, sure you can make such comments, but why?

Too busy imagining other people sniffing each others' musky gussets?

I have this feeling you will be the one who sprouts the brightest of all us mutts in this little forum. 😉

I'm sure you know what they say in 12-step circles: "you see it, you be it" 😉

If God is Love, then what does intellectually cornering any other person, given your grand and supreme potential to understand the suffering that anyone else might have to endure have to do with anything, you poor little English fish-mouse?

If, in the context of the God and Christ you seem to pretend to believe in, you can somehow manage to see beyond your turgid mentations, I think many of us might agree that would be a big step forward.

Yeah, I know that sounds like something from an Ira Levin novel. "Compliance and conviviality are the way forward." 😉

And I should also add that I am sympathetic -- older people who might not have known any better might have done some things that clogged our pipes (and their parents might have behaved even more questionably toward them by our current standards) -- we're all a work in progress, right?

Let go let go let go, and trust that people you might have abused in the past when you didn't know any better will also let all of that go and welcome you rather than returning abuse for anything that might have happened in the past.

If that is not practical Christianity, I hope some of my elders here will add some clarifications.

It's interesting that you should choose such an approach when it comes to describing anyone, or that you should focus on any of us sprouts instead of the Christ you pretend to seek.

It's okay. I'm sure Christ is patient, probably because His Father has all the time in the world, and could make more if needed.

Please try again, after taking a time-out to reconsider everything.

@divegeester

P.S. -- If you're waiting for someone to give you permission to shed your skin and start a new life, why wait?

You are the only one who could and should give you that permission, and I'm sure you are brave enough to face or disregard everyone else who doesn't understand that sudden change.
