@fmf saidSarah called Abraham “Lord”, but I’m ok with my wife calling me “Sir”.
Seen through the prism of your religious, philosophical, spiritual, moral, psychological, anthropological or ideological beliefs, what are your thoughts on women, gender, and the proverbial "battle of the sexes" on this particular day?
@fmf saidMen don't generally want to hear about an "International Women's Day" is what I've discovered.

@fmf saidThere was for very long time systematic discrimination against women.

Things have changed.
Equality has been reached yet.
And yes there were other discriminations in place, so that a lot of women suffered double or treble.
As a man I appreciate that day.
@divegeester saidYeah, I can see how that might be nice when she sprinkles that in among all the other names she must call you. π

@kevin-eleven saidDo you imagine “Sir Moron” is one of the ways she calls him “Sir?”
Don't you laugh at my jokes.
Don't you dare laugh at my jokes, you wanton yet jolly pariah.
I think we are all who end up in the fulfillment of God's plan to have New Jerusalem are a woman.
We're all girls in that sense.
Or we who are saved are all one corporate collective Wife, one Woman to the One unique male Husband in that sense.
"For I am jealous over you with a jealousy of God; for I betrothed you to one husband to present you as aa pure virgin to Christ." (2 Cor. 11:2)
" . . . Come here; I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." (Rev. 21:10b)
"And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." (Rev. 21:2)
Human history closes with a divine collective Woman as a Wife to the one unique male - the Triune God.
@sonship saidCough cough metaphor.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke
Which is more real - human male and female marriage or the eternal New Jerusalem as the climax of God's purpose?
I say human marriage is a metaphor for this rather than the other way around - silly one.
@sonship saidCalling me 'silly' seems to be your buzzword for the day. Ironic when one considers your entire cultist beliefs are built on a foundation of silliness.
