Under the banner of faith in Christ much more humantarian and moral outreach has historically occured.
Being "under the banner of faith in Christ" is not synonymous with "subscribing to everything in the Bible".

Tut being and Angligan cleric built his concept of a Truth and Reconcilation panel basewd on Christian theology. If atheists were morally more functional and Bible believers dysfunctional morally how come that panel was not established by atheist organizations primarily rather than Christian theology based structures?
The South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission was set up by the secular Government of National Unity and not by "Christian theology based structures". Christianity and Jesus are not mentioned in its charter. There were Christians on the panel, of course, but that's a Dog Bites Man story.

I think your moral higher ground of atheism is mostly your wishful hype.
I think that if someone approached me presenting themselves as subscribing to everything in the Bible, it's not that I would believe they were incapable of engaging in morally sound behaviour; instead, I would believe that, if their claim that they subscribe to everything in the Bible were actually true, then I would deduce that their moral compasses were damaged and not fully functioning.

Google up humanitarian outreaches to Ukrainians which have church or Christian in their descriptions. Then Google up in comparison those with atheism as their banner.
Why would "atheism" be in "banners"?

I haven't claimed that Christians are unable to condemn the murderous atrocities of the South African Apartheid Government.

Having a moral compass rendered dysfunctional by "believing everything in the Bible" does not mean that Christians are never able to make morally sound decisions.

@divegeester

Such a pity then that in your version of God this “absolute authority and power” is used to create an appalling torture chamber overseen by genocide maniac.

So we're back now to Jesus Christ of the New Testament is not only the temporary Son of God but is also should be called "a genocidal maniac."

This is the "Mainstream Christianity" you touted about ?

Answer me these two questions with a simple YES or NO:

1.) Does the Bible say that whoever's name was not written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire in Revelation 20:15 ?

I trust you can answer that simply.

2.) Does Revelation 20:15 tell us exhaustively ALL the ways in which a person's name might be found written in the book of life?

I trust that a simple Yes or No you can give.
