Perhaps to build societies and building your new family,than religion plays an important role in our lives.Is an individual choice if we decide to live or live without such religion.You can be a spiritual person wihout being a religious person.

I'm not religious, this doesn't mean I don't have morals. My morals actually mostly agree with church teachings. However, I follow them not because I'm scared of a giant parent in the sky watching my every move but because it's the right thing to do.
