    The only comparison between species that means anything qualitative in evolutionary terms (your inferior to superior statement) is the suitability to be alive at any given time.

    It just so happens that we are pretty nicely suited to be alive right now, something happened to dinosaurs that meant they weren't (at that time) well suited to be alive.

    You are measuring the superiority of a species by comparing it to us in terms of us. Compared to a scorpion, we are far inferior on the scorpion scale (plus they are better suited to being alive in a desert right now that we are).

    Your 'scale' of superiority means nothing to evolutionary pressure.
