Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Question of Blood

Spirituality

I can tell by the comments being posted here that it seems no one is looking at the link I posted. It would seem that it would be good to take the time to look it over and the most important thing would be to get your bible out and look up the scriptures supplied.
But then if one is not wanting to possibly learn and see this issue from God's viewpoint, not from a humans viewpoint, don't take the time to open up your bible. It's no ones loss but yours...

So now that the biblical reason we don't take blood transfusions has been shown, here is some medical reason we don't.

https://www.jw.org/en/medical-library/videos/blood-transfusion-alternative-strategies/

There are obviously some here that have got the head up there you know what, they will never see not only the scriptural reasons but will miss out one some very modern medical options that are out there to take advantage of should any of you should find yourself or a family member that has an emergency situation. Check out this video and notice there are many other options that the medical field can use instead of blood and it's inherit dangers.
More and more doctors world wide will only use blood as a last resort if they even do still use blood.
I believe it's the Legacy hospitals in the NW that do not use blood ever at all.

No of course Jehovah didn't make his followers and their congregations to " just go around and shun other humans'. Why would you think this as the bible says no such thing?
So it sounds like in your opinion that ones in the congregation that might do something wrong and would give no indication that they were not going to stop doing it and shows no remorse and would be ...[text shortened]... nto this in detail. Maybe you could get your bible out to compare what this link says in your bible?
Maybe you could provide a link to actual scripture, instead of a link to a WTO article?

Hi. If you'll go back to the link that I provided there are sometimes 2 or more scriptures in those paragraphs. They are there for a reason which is to explain the bible's viewpoint on blood and the importance their is to Jehovah and why he demands to us to obey these laws.

Also many times in the Bible it shows that literally thousands of God's peoples have died in their worship and love for him.
Why have they remained loyal to him? Why? One reason is they promised to the death that they would stay true to him. And why is that? They believe with all of heart in a resurrection. Do you believe in the resurrection process in the future.
A true Christian has to believe completely in a resurrection.

Presumably, they had strong faith. But haven't people from all religions died because of their beliefs?

However, the Old Testament and its hundreds of laws are not meant for Christians. I see links to Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy, but none to the Gospels or any quotes from Jesus himself. The Mosaic Laws simply do not apply to Christians. Jesus has told those who follow him what is expected of them, and it isn't a list of over 900 laws about dietary restrictions or worship instructions.
