Recently I learned about Spiritism while trying to learn more about Brazil in general (I have Brazilian cousins and an aunt by marriage, and at the time I was using a Linux distro from Brazil, plus it's a rather diverse country with a population of about two-thirds that of the USA).

On my side, I think it's not a bad way to thing about things.

Spiritism, as defined by its founder, Allan Kardec, is “a science dedicated to the relationship between incorporeal beings and human beings.”
Sorry, but I'm not seeing the connection between Spiritism and Brazil.
@mchill saidThat's understandable. Spiritism is very much a minority religion/philosophy in Brazil (only about 1% of the population), but scanning the Wikipedia page about Brazil during a session of Wikipedia-hopping is how I found out about it.
