I've heard that we might need to lose our memories to enter Heaven. Please list the things you want to have erased from your mind. We don't need great detail on each, as these memories are probably very hurtful. Just a general idea, or a number of memories you want removed.

I just want to know if there are things you really do want erased from your memory before you enter Heaven. I'd make a list, but I don't want forget anything... it is all part of me now, regardless how hurtful these memories might be.

I was reading this by 'blindfaith' as proof it talks about memory erasing in the Bible:

From 'Is Heaven all that great if there is a Hell?'

    LUKE 16:19-32
    REVELATIONS 7: 16,17
    REVELATIONS 21:1-8

Also, blueduck brings it up in the 'memory in hell' thread... questioning it.

Does the Bible say anything about memory erased? If so, are there people that really want to have memories erased?

I can't remember if I was a Duke or an Earl! Hmmm... perhaps I'm in Heaven? Nope, just read a No.1 post... I'm not in Heaven!

    😉

Things I might like to have erased from my mind? Sure. Would I if I had the option? No.

I need my pain. It is a critical part of how I define myself. Nonetheless.......

If I could forget something, and I would do so, it would be a memory involving my wife and a "friend".

Ug, you just reminded me of something! For years I couldn't forget a girl... I had a chance with her, and I was shy. I regretted it for many years! I just kept thinking about what a ding-dong I was. She had liked me, but lost interest and moved on. She dated the next guy for many years, and he was my friend!

I saw them always fighting, and let both know I had interest in her. She was hooked on him, and I lost him as a friend. He hurt her, she hurt me, I hurt him... what a mess.

I now am finally able to deal with the memory, realize it was not as big a deal as I made it out to be... and now have sorted it aside.

I've got worse memories than any girl could have caused me. I just can't see forgetting any of them.

You don't need heaven to forget those painful memories. Science can do it just as well.

Or at least that's what happened in Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.

So me presenting God's words are twsting His words? I fail to follow.

What is your view of God and why?

I'm ready to talk later, please view my edit... as It is I who thinks your view is twisted... and I don't want anyone to think what I say is true unless they agree.

I'm off for dinner, but I'll try to come up with some answers for you either late tonight, or Monday.

Peace be with you! (Not kidding about that!)
