A three-year-old girl has been named as the new "living goddess" of the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu.
Charles Haviland explains the tradition as he follows the little girl's journey from her old life to her new one - and looks at what becomes of the outgoing Kumari.
Looks like another prayer will have to be added to the list eh?

I beg your pardon? I know the current living goddess. In fact, I am married to the current living goddess and this 3 year old little girl my friend is NO living goddess.
Edit: PM me for donations to the current living goddess.
