    Our Father who art in heaven,
    Hallowed be thy name.
    Thy kingdom come,
    Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
    Give us this day our daily bread,
    And forgive us our trespasses,
    As we forgive those who trespass against us,
    And lead us not into temptation,
    But deliver us from evil.

    For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are
    yours, now and for ever.

    Amen.

    I would like to offer a translation of the Lord's Prayer from the Aramaic.

    O Cosmic Birther of all radiance and vibration!
    Soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your presence can abide.
    Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruits of your mission.
    Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with your desire.
    Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish.
    Unite the tangled threads of destiny that bind us, as we release others from the entanglement of past miss-takes.
    Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.

    In Latin

    Pater noster, qui es in caelis
    sanctificetur nomen tuum;
    Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua
    sicut in caelo et in terra
    Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie.
    Et dimitte nobis debita nostra,
    sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
    Et ne nos inducas in tentationem;
    sed libera nos a malo.
    Amen.

    Consider the 1860s(?) version by Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of
    Christian Science:

    Our Father which art in heaven,
    Our Father-Mother God, all-harmonious,

    Hallowed be Thy name.
    Adorable One.

    Thy kingdom come.
    Thy kingdom is come; Thou art ever-present.

    Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
    Enable us to know,--as in heaven, so on earth,--God is omnipotent, supreme.

    Give us this day our daily bread;
    Give us grace for today; feed the famished affections;

    And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
    And Love is reflected in love;

    And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;
    And God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.

    For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
    For God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All.

    Amen.

    I like that, a bit prosaic, but refreshingly Heathen.

    The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
    He makes me down to lie
    Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by.
    With bright knives He releaseth my soul.
    He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places.
    He converteth me to lamb cutlets,
    For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger.
    When cometh the day we lowly ones,
    Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
    Master the art of karate,
    Lo, we shall rise up,
    And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.

    I thought it was a nice thing to do as some people might want to pray with confidence to our Father in the words our saviour gave us:

    But the person may not know the words, so I was just being nice...

    Good buy and God bless 🙂
