Does anyone else almost upchuck when they see his commercials? How is this guy able to get away with his con game on cable TV? He was exposed in the 1980's committing fraud (fake healings, etc.) and I was wondering why any network or channel would accept his commercials in 2019 (I realize that the money he fleeces from people pays for the ads). I am genuinely curious how it is possible - wouldn't the pushback be counter-productive to the channel or network?
@johnsim03

@mister-moggy saidCouldn't you think of something more substantial that you wanted out of life?

@johnsim03 saidAnd what in the hell is this doing in the SF? Wouldn't this be better suited to General?

@suzianne saidThe people this guy rips off are no doubt searching for spirituality, or believe that they are engaging in spirituality. It is on topic, because this is exactly the kind of thing that feeds into the notion that it is all a joke (i.e. religion or God). I consider this to be not a good thing! My question is, and continues to be, how does he get away with it in 2019? The M.O. is clear, he sends the miracle spring water to naïve people free, then his fraud machine starts the dunning for donations.

@johnsim03 saidWhy are you harping about 2019? Is that some special year when fraudsters are all supposed to be caught and punished?

@fmf saidOkay, well, I am unfamiliar with him.
Peter Popoff is a famous Christian televangelist and author of Christian books. Seems OK to me to talk about him here.
From the previous posts, it seemed he was merely a con man. (Yeah, I know...)
