re: lifting up one's soul

Spirituality

Is that ever necessary, given that God is purportedly omnipresent?

Also, might that not come across as a regifting or even a rejection of the gift, i.e., "You gave me this soul, now I'm giving it back."?

Does God even have a customer-service counter?

I don't think we'll know the answer to that one until we reach the hereafter of our lives.

Yes.

It's called an alter where an innocent substitute is sacrificed on behalf of the repentant sinner.

What do you call "lifting up one's soul"? What does this phrase mean to you?

Because it seems different than what it means to me.

Have you lifted up your soul to The Almighty, and did it fall through your hands?
