I've offered to send you a science book or two on numerous occasions now, with the caveat that you are welcome to send me some literature of your choice in return. You have always refused. You have never, ever, given a reason as to why you refuse the offer. What is the reason?

I like the idea of an intelligent designer. I dont like materialism in any form, its responsible for many ills in my opinion.

The diversification of life on this planet is not synonymous with materialism. There are plenty of theists, from all manner of religions, who reconcile the idea of a creator with evolution.

Right. And the non-creationist materialism leaves no room for the spirit and the soul of man.

But they still do not eliminate the idea of an intelligent designer.

To get back to the theme of the thread, namely atheism/theism and it's effects on behaviour, i would say your theism has turned you into an intellectual wimp. Someone who refuses to process information which doesn't subscribe to their preconceived worldview.

I agree that your observation seems correct concerning these two JWs.

However, that does not excuse yourself.

A popular argument among philosophers and pseudo-philosophers is the existence or nonexistence of God. Even though many philosophers have long pointed out the futility of having the debate, in certain circles it rages on. A circle is the proper analogy for that debate, because it has neither beginning nor end and never gets beyond itself.

Bravo, well stated. To God be the glory that He gives the increase, we do not. All we are commanded to do is be a witness to what He has done in our lives, live a thankful life, and be ready to tell why. We are also to preach, exhort...

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
