No, not 42. Is there a meaning to all that stuff or is it just there because it is?

In the spirit of "Life of Pi," What meaning would you prefer it to have, if any?

To search for the meaning of life, the universe and everything, but try to have a few laughs on the way!

There is no intrinsic meaning.

Only the meaning that sentient beings give it... And those meanings may well be specific, and limited, to the being giving the meaning.

The answer is easy (42)
But it's interpretating the question which is difficult.

I think that was what Douglas Adams was getting at; what does the question
"What is the meaning of Life" mean ????

To ask what the meaning of life is, is really not asking a question as much as it is verbalizing a confused and lost wondering. Each individual is responsible for giving HIS OWN life meaning so that the better we come to know our self, the more successful we are in creating our own unique meaning.

to me the "meaning of life" is to pass thro death, then on to your reward or to go into the darkness.

One certainly is not likely to be able to correctly answer a question one does not understand. So I would say that God only is cabable of answering the qestion of the ultimate meaning of life, because He is life and the source of it all. We must first put restrictions on life's meaning and therefore any meaning we should give life is restricted to our own understanding. So then there becomes many meanings and not such an easy task as the simple minded choose to believe. 😏

The Christian God said, "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE."

HalleluYah !!! Praise the Lord! Holy! Holy! Holy!

Oh come on, folks! 42 is 101010 in base-2! And when you view it in a mirror you get 010101, which is 21 -- half of 42.

It's genius!
