Technically (I speculate) he is a 'Christian deist,' in that he views the words of Jesus as profound (and seeks to follow his teachings) while stopping short of crediting him with any divinity. (Which is why he won't comment on Jesus saying he was sent by God). He probably has s ...[text shortened]... Of course, speculation would be unnecessary, if ToO just answered a few simple questions put to him.

Perhaps he is an atheist who enjoys some kind of clerical authority in some religious hierarchy.
Perhaps it is better for him to be obscure about his atheism in order to continue in his position.
Or some other reason makes concealment of his atheism advantageous to him in some way.

There are atheist pastors and clergyman who would ...[text shortened]... by "during His ministry" as pertains to Jesus Christ, remind me of what he meant IF he explained it.
