Did you go to the thread I commanded you not to go to? What is this you have done?

If you are female your labor pains will greatly increase; with pain you will give birth to children. You will want to control your husband, but he will dominate you.

If you are male because you came to the thread about which I commanded you, ‘You must not go to it,’ cursed is the ground thanks to you; in painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, but you will eat the grain of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat food until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you will return

You really wouldn't have done any better in their place.

actually, i was sleeping and my pet monkey hit the mouse button and thus your thread just happened to be up on the screen when i woke up and came to. so take out all your hatred for mankind by punishing me in the worst way possible; just know that you and god both have unjustified views concerning punishment. if you can convince god that you both need some help, i'll pay for the anger management counseling.

That makes it all the better:
Now the pet monkey was more shrewd than any of the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to LemonJello, “Is it really true that bobbob1056th said, ‘You must not look at the forbidden thread'?” LemonJello said to the pet monkey, “We may browse through the threads on the redhotpawn fori; but concerning the forbidden thread bobbob1056th said, ‘You must not go to the web page, and you must not look at it, or else you will die.’” The pet monkey said to LemonJello, “Surely you will not die, for bobbob1056th knows that when you see the thread contents your eyes will open and you will be like bobbob1056th who knows the contents of the thread."

and etc. Of course it is not a perfect analogy; I also do not believe you, LemonJello, that your pet monkey brang up this webpage. That would be like an animal forcing the forbidden fruit into the humans' mouths while they were sleeping. But God knew that would not happen. I, on the other hand, do not know for certain whether anyone was forced to view this webpage or not, so it doesn't exactly fit. But if only one person came here by choice it would be a better analogy for that one person.

So take what you will from it; it is just fun and games, not to be taken seriously.

i think i caught a 'brang' in there somewhere.

how's it going with trying to convince god he needs some help? in addition to paying for the services, i'll even drive the two of you to the therapist's office. remember to remind god that half of the battle is first admitting that he has a problem.

i'm glad we agree. which work of fiction do you find more amusing: the 'old testament' by a bunch of dead men or 'the butter battle book' by Dr. Seuss?

I think about this alot in my air-conditioned cubicle at work. A good HVAC system is great for diffusing even the smallest bead of potential sweat that might form from the rigors of a sedentary office job. I realize the truth of men's dominance over women when I overhear a female co-worker bragging to some friend on the phone about how much $$ her ex-husband was ordered to pay her by a divorce court judge. At lunch break I see how people are forced to eat by the 'sweat of their brow', but then again, a 400-pound man sweats when he does almost anything.
