Acts 20: 29,30 "I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among you and will not treat the flock with tenderness, 30 and from among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves."

Sounds like a warning about Charles Russell and the Watchtower leadership to me.

One comment so far. This was a very important statement that Jesus made to his followers which so many claim to be. Why aren't there more comments on this?

That is not a statement that Jesus made to his followers.
That is Paul speaking of his departure to the leaders of the church.
The warning is from Paul for the leaders of the church to stay with the teachings of Jesus Christ and not be led away by false doctrines.

I stand corrected. Thanks it was Paul and yes you are right about the warnings. Seems like more here would have a comment on this, if any take it seriously or even understand it.....

If Paul HAD wanted to issue a warning about groups like the Jehovah's Witnesses, what do you think he would have written?

Why are you avoiding the comments that have already been made?

He wouldn't have.... We are not the ones that continue to follow all the pagan teachings that have been adopted by so many churches that still do. Once the early Witnesses learned the origins of many beliefs the churches still adopt we removed ourselves from practicing them.

No, you’ve got a boat load of new ones which are far more dangerous!

He wouldn't have written anything even if he wanted to issue a warning? Is that your answer?

My answer is just as I said. He did write those warnings because he knew what was going to happen and it did happen exactly as he said.
This does not apply to the JW's because were were not there in the 3rd and 4th centuries. All the major pagan teachings that were added to the church such as the trinity, hell fire, eternal torment, etc, were all pushed on the people that had not previously believed those things. And just as Paul warned it added extreme burdens on the flocks of ones who wanted to worship their God. With the confusion such as the trinity brought to them and then the fear of some hell fire place that they would burn forever if they even questioned their religious leaders now proved that what Paul said was true.

I realize you fully support your non-stock, not for profit corporation headquartered in New York and I realize that you don't think your corporation is wrong and would not be permitted to say so even if you did. The question still stands though: If Paul HAD wanted to issue a warning about groups like the Jehovah's Witnesses [i.e. letting children die for want of the necessary medical treatment and systematic covering up of child sex abuse, just two examples that have been discussed here], what do you think he would have written?

If I remember correctly, Paul was very well read concerning the Old Testament, and in there are similar examples of this very thing. The High Priest Eli and his sons, who seemed more interested in what they could get rather than serving the congregation. There are probably many modern day examples of this even today, where sermons are preached to tickle the ears rather than feed the flock, which promote to others adding even more people and money into a starving church. There are examples Paul experienced himself where he sent correction letters concerning false teachings even then, as well as ones who had twisted or corrupted the Gospel for personal gain.
Whether I'm correct or not, it does seem we must be like the Berea congregation from Acts 17:10-11 "searching the scriptures daily, whether those things be so."

Lots of religious organisations weren’t around in the 3rd and 4th centuries but they have erroneous beliefs.

I don’t know of any other version of the Christian religion which accommodated child sacrifice like the Jehovah’s Witnesses do. This practice of denying children blood transfusions for fear of upsetting Jehovah kind of makes your pointing of fingers at those believing in the trinity look a bit like you are straining at a gnat but swallowing a camel.
