time enough for equanimity

At age 65 (and a half), recently I had this provisional, unserious notion that there is time enough for equanimity both before and after one is alive.

On the other hand, with mortality more on my mind than it has been previously, I am finally starting to get that holding on to grudges and grievances is not necessarily beneficial, although I do treasure some of mine, it seems.

From my own experience, I think it could also be said that it's not always so easy to let go of those. Some things might get written into our incarnations that are subsequently not so easy to erase or fade before we croak.

Another aspect to this matter is that the span of our little lives might yield our only opportunities for drama (barring afterlife hijinks, of course).

I’m glad all is well , I was wondering where you went. Glad to read that positive healthy thought is on your mind for a better, happier, less stressful life. Are you getting out and about more?

Hey, Mike

Is that a flashlight in your pants or are you just happy to see me? 😉

It seems you have correctly observed that I'm kind of an American Otaku, but I actually do get out of my house from time to time (shopping trips) and interact with other people (customers and clerks) pretty easily.

Thank you for asking. I don't have many people asking how I'm doing.

Just good genetics 👍😁. I do care and hope all is well knowing the hardships and struggles from being very close to the same as yo, and it is nice when someone checks in. Most people look at me as the same as them and don’t understand the deeper issues. The worst is when it’s family,
