"Poor atheism! To be cheated by the dying liars of unbelief." ~ sonship
What are "dying liars of unbelief"?
I can see how the word "dying" comes into it, because - although we will all die - Christians believe that they will have everlasting life, so, in a sense, they don't think they are "dying". Meanwhile, "poor atheists" are "dying" or, as Eladar used to put it, they are already dead. I get that.
But in what sense are the "dying liars of unbelief" liars?

If an unbeliever professes doubt or unbelief, how can they then be called a liar?
@hakima saidPhilokalia insists that non-Christians choose to not believe, send themselves to hell and throw themselves into a lake of fire which he is reluctant to describe as either literal of metaphorical.
it’s a strange phase.

KellyJay insists that everything written in the book of Revelation in the Bible is literal, all of it. Including the multiheaded beast being ridden by a whore wearing robes dipped in the blood of thousands of Christians.
Sonship has revealed just this week that he believes that what he insists are literal flames in the hell of Revelation are in fact literal, but not “flames” as we understand them. They are alternative flames Thought-Flames™ if you like, flames which fulfil the ghastly need for torturous vengeance and wrath, but not the flesh melting real flames of heat which would require a semblance of moral scrutiny.
Such are the mind-sets of the contemporary Christian and why this forum provides such a rich vein of entertainment.

@hakima saidIt sits alongside phrases about atheists having "toilet hearts" and how them posting about their ideas and beliefs on this forum is making people "eat faeces" and "spreading germs".

sonship has used the phrase "dying liars of unbelief" before several times.
I also would like to know how people who have different beliefs from him can be characterized as "liars".
@hakima saidWell, in sonship's case, he once claimed that hundreds of people on this website might face torment in burning flames for eternity as a result of reading the things I say in my posts.
I’m also confused about how an unbeliever or atheist who has absolutely no faith story to impose could possibly cheat any one out of anything...
@fmf saidThe same sonship who truly believes that his version of Jesus will be burning non Christians alive for eternity and who “chooses” to spend a significant amount of his spare time in this forum talking about the eternal flames to a group anonymous online posters which consists of people who already agree with him or others who find his beliefs, unbelievable. Rather than getting out on the streets and spreading word of this terrible danger.

@sonship said"Agnostic atheism is a philosophical position that encompasses both atheism and agnosticism. Agnostic atheists are atheistic because they do not hold a belief in the existence of any deity and agnostic because they claim that the existence of a deity is either unknowable in principle or currently unknown in fact. The agnostic atheist may be contrasted with the agnostic theist, who believes that one or more deities exist but claims that the existence or nonexistence of such is unknown or cannot be known." ~ Wiki
Ie. thinking - " I can be an Agnostic and an Athiest at the same time. "

@sonship saidThis is the most ridiculous thing I have read in this forum.
No apologies. Atheists like FMF are dying liars.
First they're lying to themselves.
Ie. thinking - " I can be an Agnostic and an Athiest at the same time. "
Some kind of "double insurance" against ever meeting God, I suppose.
Atheists don’t need to bother investing in “double insurance” against ever meeting God due to the fact that they don’t believe in God...
Only someone who BELIEVED in God and yet lied about God would invest in never meeting him/her.
If an Agnostic says they are also an Atheist, or an Atheist says they are Agnostic, what does it matter to someone who doesn’t share their belief (or in this case, lack of belief)...why not be curious about what that identity means to the one identifying...
And if one is not curious, it makes no sense continuing to carry on a debate about something in which one has no interest.
@sonship saidI wonder, why does it matter to YOU, sir?
@hakima
Now THAT was one of the stupidest posts I've read all week.
"Why does it matter to you?"
He wrote it to the Forum so it WOULD matter, genius.
If you refuse to be interested in WHY or HOW Mr. FMF describes his belief or non-belief, what is the point of haranguing about it on and on?

You must have used the "Why does it matter to you?" rhetorical gambit with me 100+ times; why is it OK when you use it, and yet it's the "stupid" when Hakima uses it?
