Well I came across a child of God, he was walking along the road
And I asked him tell where are you going, this he told me:
Well, I'm going down to Yasgur's farm, going to join in a rock and roll band.
Got to get back to the land, set my soul free.
We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.

Well, then can I walk beside you? I have come to lose the smog.
And I feel like I'm a cog in something turning.
And maybe it's the time of year, yes, and maybe it's the time of man.
And I don't know who I am but life is for learning.
We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.

By the time we got to Woodstock, we were half a million strong,
And everywhere there was song and celebration.
And I dreamed I saw the bombers jet planes riding shotgun in the sky,
Turning into butterflies above our nation.

We are stardust, we are golden, we caught in the devil's bargain,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.

Most of these people are gone, or almost gone.

Find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground.
Mother Earth will swallow you, Lay your body down.

Those are the lyrics to a song called Find The Cost of Freedom by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. I believe Graham Nash wrote it.
And the only cult I ever joined originated out of merry old London (true story).

You could have mentioned the writer, Joni Mitchell. She wrote dozens of great songs like 'For Free' 'Free man in Paris: I was a free man in Paris/ I felt unfettered and alive/ nobody calling me up for favors/ nobody's future to decide/ You know, I'd go back there tomorrow but for this work I've taken on/ stokin' the star maker machinery behind the popular song....

"Help me", 'Both Sides Now, what a great song!, 'Court and Spark', 'Big Yellow Taxi' Took all the trees, put 'em in a tree museum, charged the people a dollar and a half just to see 'em...

Night in the city, "Fiddle and the Drum', For the roses, 'Nathan La Franeer"

This site lists over 200 of her songs! Quite a legacy.

Or the RJ cult for that matter.

It's amazing how you all supposedly worship the same god but you use JW as a pejorative instead of calling them brothers in faith.

That shows you what little you know. We Christinas worship Christ as the manifested God. JWs say Christ was a manifested angel.

It matters little since the whole thing was just a man made construct. No god dictated anything. All made up stories by men who wanted control of other men and to build up political power and to put down women.

That is the long and short of it.
