What do Christ, Marx and Frederick Nietchze have in common?

Spirituality

All three men looked at the world, saw what was wrong with the world, and developed thoughts on how to overcome such wrongs.

All three men were taken out or context and used by the state for the benefit of the state. Christ was used by the Pope turned politician, Marx was used by such wonderful figures as Stalin and Moa and Chavez, and Nietchze was used by Hitler.

I believe all 3 men would have been appalled by the misuse of their various philosophies.

At the end of the day though, most only identify with how the state presents each. They never really bother to dig down and see what they were all about.

Shouldn't this be in 'Debates'?

And no, you don't get to talk about politics here merely by invoking the Christ.

You're not talking about Christ here, you're only using Him to talk about your favorite topic, abandoning the 'state'.

Take it to Debates.

All of them would be horrified that a place like WalMart exists.

No.

Most of what we discuss here has to do with Jesus. No other individual comes close.

Also, it is important to point out that men like Marx and Nietchze proclaimed a new secular era in Europe as a challenge to the Christian religion. Even so, they were also taken out of context, much like Christianity was taken out of context, which is why they rejected it.

How can man come to know God when we can't even figure each other out?

That is the question.

Knowing God is easy.

Figuring out Man, who typically spends a great deal of time intending to deceive himself and others, is not.
