Dario Gradi - Forever Alex

It's a sad day for Crewe, after 25 years as manager of the famous Crewe Alexandra, Dario Gradi has agreed a move upstairs. Academy manager and coach Steve Holland will take charge of first team affairs from July 1, with Dario in charge of footballing affairs at the club. They say he will retain the final say on team matters which nobody doubts but clearly this is the start of the end of Gradi's reign as one of the most successful managers in the game. This of course depends massively on the criteria, but few doubt the contribution he has made to football on such small resources.

Many supporters this season have called for this to happen, and given the circumstances it has to be said it's right for Dario and the club, but we will never forget (even those who now support Italian teams 😳)!
