I had to laugh this morning reading the paper. The writer said he feels bad for the goalies and especially the announcers, who have to sit through and announce every miserable game this team plays. He went on to say they should give the announcers a nice vacation and replace them with the two announcers from the muppets 😛 I forget their names, Whaldey or something like that.
I have given up watching them, thankfully we still have the Eagles 😀

The post that was quoted here has been removedEvery franchise has its ups and downs. The Flyers just happen to be in the sink right now. Nevertheless, I expect that they'll be back on their feet next year once Forsberg's been sent somewhere where he can be happy. I will admit, the management seems a little effed there but that's no excuse for a team to lose (unless you're the Detroit Lions). Look at the Islanders, this year. They have a wacko clown running their team and they seem to be going in the right direction.
There's a lot of exciting talent on that team. I think they just need the right leaders.
Originally posted by darvlayThe Flyers may have trouble keeping their exciting talent if they don't start being a bit more competitive. IMHO, they should clear some space under the salary cap to sign a top notch goalie by unloading some of their high-priced veterans, and try to develop their younger players like Carter, Richards and Pitkanen.
