So BTN and cable networks are fighting over whether people pay have to pay a base rate and until it is worked out even people who may be willing to pay may not have that opportunity. But this is nothing new and frankly I'd rather pay for another sports network than for HBO or some other stupid movie channel. Anyway, this is the same debate I heard with Cablevision for professional sports in New York. But here is what I simply don't understand. There is no way evey sport would be available on free TV. Even ESPN and ESPN2 can't show every sport. So most of what is on the BTN otherwise wouldn't be avaible. Therefore, either pay and watch it if you are given the option or simply don't pay.
