Signed into law by President Bush on October 26th, 2001, Title II of Public Law 107-56, The Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001, also known as the USA Patriot Act or simply the Patriot Act, allows for Enhanced Surveillance Procedures. Clearly it was an understandable mistake that the New England Patriots believed their team to have an exception concerning cameras on the sidelines.
