I really can't believe they even gave this a second of serious thought. It's ridiculous and would make a complete mockery of the game. I don't think I could go to another match if they actually brought this in. Pathetic.

They should have a separate penalty league that runs at the end of each game so that they can learn to win at penalty shootouts.
Leave the games as they are.

I don't agree with penalties in league games.

But in games where penalties are currently a possiblity I think the shoot out should take place before the game starts.

This would ensure a good game as one team needs to chase the win
Provide pre match entertainment
Take away the victim status from the player who messes up
If you lose the penalty shootout you haven't lost the game

The pro game of Rugby Union down under brought about a bonus point system to get teams trying harder... I think they get one for four tries and one for losing by less than three points that makes teams play all the way to the whistle.. apply it to association football???

Think about this:
A win by two goals you get a bonus point.
An away win you get a bonus point.

Penalty shoot outs are for half time kids entertainment..
