Okay. Paris-Roubaix is tomorrow. This is perhaps George Hincapie's most important race of the year. At age 35, hopes of winning this race is fading; and it's fading quickly. So, the big question - Can he finally win? There is no question, this is a real sentimental choice. He's cone everything but win it. He's been consistently strong, and consistently unlucky. One slip from Cancellara or Boonen, and I believe he's a real threat to win. What ya think?
Originally posted by dustycatVersus. I must be a complete shmuck. I pay the gold membership at cyclingtv.com and watch all the classics/grande tours. never thought to check the versus' listing. Anyway, yeah, Georgie was unlucky. According to cyclingnews.com George says he feels great and cannot see why he wouldn't race paris-roubaix next year. Great race! lots of crashes! You'd think this would appeal to canadian/american folks specially with nascar and all. Think the cycling crashes are more intense - not to mention the terrain these guys have to endure. Tom had a good race. oh yeah, I hate Pozzoto. I pissed he didn't time trial the E3 and I think thats why the belgiums hate him also (among other things) Yeah not to finish the E3 TT - should be auto disqualification. Well Amstel coming up this Sunday. If Versus' doesn't cover - look into cyclingtv the coverage is awesome. Do you ride? where u livin? I ride (group 22-25 mainly on flats South Carolina near the Ocean) Later dude. Hey! what you think about rock racing kit? thinking about getting jersey/bib but so damn expensive. Graphics are killer
Hi MrMartin...just saw ur post..I watched this race on versus yesterday. It was really brutal with all those cobblestone roads...Too bad re: George...unlucky again with that flat tire ...took him outa the race...Hope George does better in other races as he's getting a bit old...
I thought if u dont finish a section of a race its a DF ..I looked up Pozotto on wiki for more info...seems ok to me...racing is about tactics and conserving and using energy just right...Its Ricardo Ricco who i dont care for really...versus only does highlights...good coverage of tour de france tho...i follow races by reading live coverage on cyclingnews.com and velonews.com...im in kansas city mo area in usa...only bike riding i do is at the gym for cardio...would be nice tho....thanks for the live tv info...there are very few pro cycling fans in these parts tho the tour of Missouri is doing well...Happy cycling to ya....
