Nah. What if you beat all comers by a small margin whereas as someone else blows out half of their opponents and barely loses to the other half? They could have a larger scoring margin than the undefeated team.

Every contest contains different match ups and a battle of different coaching philosophies, the team that has the greatest ability to adjust and win more often is the best team.
