    First time a euro has held the title since 1971 or something like that, when Tony Jacklin won. Talk about overdue!!!!

    Tip the hat to Graeme McDowell though. He played very well under brutal conditions. This is probably the toughest tournament to score in in the world. Even par is considered a winnable score, and in this case it was exactly even par that won.
