1%? Better check again. It's played in the US, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Korea, Japan. Puerto Rico, and Panama. I believe that's more than 1% and it's a lot more exciting than that crap of a game soccer you Brit's seem to like losing at.

what is more exciting a hit or a home run? people go watch people who hit home runs not singles and doubles. ( for the most part) there is nothing like hitting a ball over 400 feet! and there is nothing like watching someone hit a walkoff homerun in the world series.
I think it sort of depends on how they came about doing it. For a guy like Eddie Murray who had both it seems lke the 500 homers are more impressive. But especially with steriods and the difference in their individual years, the accomplishments of a guy like Wade Boggs (but not a guy like Craid Biggio) seem more impresive the Rafeal Palmiero.
